Conductive Education School Kuwait (CESK)

Conductive Education School Kuwait is set up to provide rehabilitation/education services
to enable individuals who have significant disabilities to function more independently in
home, in an educational environment, at work, and in community environments, thereby
reducing dependency in essential everyday activities and making constructive steps towards
integration into society.
This new initiative has grown from a vision of Dr. Essa Alsadi and Dr Ahmed Alhouly who
identified a gap in support and provision available for children and adults with neurological
conditions in Kuwait.
Conductive Education School Kuwait is a joint venture between Kuwait Establishment for Educational
Services www.kees.org and Conductive Education Support Services.
Aims and Objectives
Conductive Education School Kuwait aims to provide different levels of educational
programs /services with clear curriculum strategies in a flexible, individualized manner thereby
enabling a reasonable level of functioning and independent living.
The aim of the project is to establish and develop resources that build the capacity to train personnel
to support/guide/teach children and adults with severely to mild neurological and related conditions.
Each member of staff is be trained not only to support individuals with different disabilities, but
also they will be equipped and dedicated to support the family and sociological units.
Kuwait Establishment for Educational Services intends to set up a school of
excellence to provide complete rehabilitation packages for children and adults with neurological and
related conditions (including those with an IQ of 35 and below).
By developing and establishing innovative strategies to identify and meet the needs of individuals
with different disabilities, and by providing individualized, flexible, consistent services, Conductive
Education School Kuwait aims to cater for those who are not yet accessing any kind of intervention/services.
In doing that Conductive Education School Kuwait, endeavours to provide the highest, quality Conductive
Education services to support the individual’s multi-dimensional needs in a rounded, dignified and humane
manner, utilising and nurturing each individual’s potential, gifts and qualities.
The programmes at Conductive Education School Kuwait for all age groups incorporate self-development,
active learning, independence, problem solving and age appropriate social and academic skills. The whole
day’s curriculum is designed to teach and facilitate the learning of motor skills and the building of
orthofunctional habits that will enable children and adults to actively participate in their everyday
lives. This unique intervention prepares individuals for an active, more independent life.
The development and maintenance of orthofunctional motor skills carry equal importance with the academic
curriculum in the teaching programmes at Conductive Education School Kuwait.
